Throughout the opening number, the actor portrays drew with a high level of plucky excitement. He has this level of energy that feels like it is ready to burst out and completely take over the scene. This is shown quite heavily through his posture, with his shoulders being raised and tensed while his back is straight to show how excited Drew is at the prospect of working in the Bourbon Room and being around the epicentre of rock and roll with a shot at showing how he could also be a rock star too.
